PANews, Sept 23 — CoinDesk reports White House crypto adviser Patrick Witt and Treasury official Luke Pettit told a CoinDesk policy event the Clarity Act is unlikely to pass Congress this year — the atmosphere on the Hill is 'quite cold' — so the focus shifts to regulators; the SEC and CFTC have made progress and will act under existing authority because 'there is no time to waste.' Treasury is meanwhile drafting GENIUS Act stablecoin implementation rules.
