Tether provides about $1.5 billion in financing to a US gold dealer
TechFlow, Sept 17 — Bloomberg reports stablecoin issuer Tether has become a major gold lender: as of end-June its financing to US gold trading platform Gold.com accounted for most of its $1.7 billion in outstanding precious metals leases, and Gold.com owes it $1.45 billion in payables and advances. Tether took a stake in the platform earlier this year.
