TechFlow Sep 16: Senator Cynthia Lummis, a lead author of the CLARITY Act, said after the bill stalled that Senate Democrats proved they were never serious about protecting consumers or maintaining American leadership. She said that over the past year Democrats kept making demands, then made new ones and 'moved the goalposts' after each was met. Lummis said Democrats voted against real limits on politicians' personal crypto investments, against protecting American consumers from scammers and fraudsters, and against US leadership — to the benefit of China and other foreign competitors — choosing politics over the American people once again.
