Ripple CEO:Clarity Act
Ripple CEO: Clarity Act failure leaves consumer interests and US competitiveness on hold
TechFlow Sep 16: Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said the industry did its best to pass the Clarity Act, which could have served the whole industry, consumers and US leadership in crypto and future finance beyond any single company's interests. Its failure means consumer interests and US competitiveness are shelved, he said, calling for a postmortem and criticizing Democrats for putting anti-crypto politics above good policy. He said there are still reasons for optimism: SEC Chairman Atkins and CFTC Chairman Selig will keep filling the legislative gap through rulemaking, and Ripple will engage actively. Ripple's business has never been stronger, with real demand from traditional finance and the digital asset ecosystem; one lost vote in Washington won't change the company's momentum, global footprint or customer base.
