PANews Sep 16: After the US Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said bipartisan talks may continue but the industry can no longer simply wait for Congress. He said the SEC and CFTC already have the tools under existing authority to set clear rules and are expected to formally begin writing crypto standards. He added that the stablecoin bill GENIUS is already law with looser treatment of rewards, so some concessions made in CLARITY talks 'may no longer need to be held onto,' and stressed that with regulation gradually clarifying, crypto technology will keep upgrading the financial system.
