Even if the bill fails, Wall Street's crypto expansion is hard to reverse

While the bill aims to give financial institutions legal certainty on digital assets, analysts say even if it fails, Wall Street's push into crypto will not stop, as traditional institutions have already entered substantively through ETFs and tokenization platforms. Brian Vieten, senior analyst at Siebert Financial, said a failed bill might even accelerate investment, since companies have economic incentives to front-load tokenization within the current regulatory window. Meanwhile, the SEC and CFTC are advancing digital asset rules independently. Robinhood backs the legislation, while eight banking groups object over stablecoin rewards. On the market side, RWA inflows are driven mainly by tokenized stocks: Binance's bStocks reached about $118.5 million in volume within two months.
