Term Labs update on exploit: Meta Vaults closed and governance permissions revoked
PANews on Aug 24: DeFi protocol Term Labs said the exploit affected the Term Vault governance mechanism rather than the underlying protocol and its direct lending markets. All Meta Vaults are closed and DAO governance permissions revoked to stop further inflows, an irreversible step permanently blocking new deposits. Withdrawals remain open while it works with external security teams; if a shortfall is confirmed it will explore solutions. It previously reported an ~$8.5 million loss to the governance exploit.
