Franklin Templeton gets first US regulatory approval to put tokenized assets in traditional funds
Franklin Templeton plans to bring tokenized assets into traditional investment funds and says it has received the first US regulatory approval allowing digital-native products in traditional funds, per Bloomberg. Per a letter filed with the SEC, the firm intends to use its tokenized money market fund as holdings or collateral embedded in ETFs and mutual funds.
