Protect Progress PAC, affiliated with the Coinbase- and Ripple-funded Fairshake, has spent over $2M against Democratic candidate Oliver Gilbert in Florida's 24th congressional district, per Cointelegraph. FEC records show Gilbert had no notable digital-asset stance but is backed by incumbent Frederica Wilson, who voted against the CLARITY and GENIUS Acts. The ads include fake news headlines unrelated to crypto policy; Gilbert's side called it crypto crooks trying to buy a Democratic primary. Fairshake held $193M as of January and has poured over $82M into primaries since June.
