Zerohash, which provides crypto infrastructure for Morgan Stanley E*Trade and others, had its US trust bank charter application returned by the OCC, per CoinDesk. OCC records show it was returned Jul 17; the firm calls it procedural rather than a substantive denial and plans to resubmit this month with a phased approach. Zerohash is already a state-chartered trust bank serving BlackRock, Franklin Templeton and Stripe, and faces a lawsuit from its former compliance officer.
