PANews, August 1: Per Bitcoin.com News, crypto advocacy group Stand With Crypto says supporters have contacted members of the US Congress one million times over the Clarity Act, with only 7 days left before the Senate’s August 7 recess. The group calls it ‘a critical moment’ and urges advocates to contact senators while Congress is still in session. BlackRock, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs and Franklin Templeton have publicly backed the bill. But Galaxy Research has cut its 2026 passage probability from 50% to 30%, citing unresolved disputes, Senate voting requirements and a tightening calendar. New York AG Letitia James on July 27 urged Congress to tighten crypto oversight and warned the Clarity Act could constrain state and local enforcement against fraudulent platforms.
